When you first signed up to Zing Coach, you answered some few questions about yourself. You might be thinking, “It was just a quiz, does it really matter?” With Zing, it does. Each question has a powerful impact on the personalized workout plan that Zing created for you, and your answers ensure it fits seamlessly into your lifestyle.

The good news is, you can always adapt your plan to reflect changes in your life or to set new challenges for your progress. All you need to do is visit your Plan Settings screen. Here are just some of the details you can adjust that will shape the workout plan you receive:

  • Fitness goals: Whether you want to get stronger, gain muscle, burn fat, or just live a healthier lifestyle, Zing will optimize your workouts to give you the best chance to reach your goals.
  • Activity and experience: Share your fitness background and current activity levels your current activity level so Zing can set the right intensity for your workouts to challenge you safely. If you connect Apple Health (more on that in a moment), then Zing will analyze your historical activity data to improve the accuracy of your recommendations.
  • Workout preferences: You can specify whether you prefer working out at home or in the gym. You'll also be asked about session length and the equipment you have available, ensuring your workouts fit your environment and resources.
  • Preferred schedule: Decide whether a fixed schedule with consistent weekly sessions or a flexible schedule with specific days of the week works best for you. This helps you stay organized and committed to your fitness goals.

We know that sharing access to important parts of your digital life can be daunting – there’s a lot of personal, private information there. But with Zing, not only is your data safe, but with it your Coach can give provide even deeper personalization for your plan.

Before you start working out, Zing Coach will ask for access to your Apple Health. Why? Well, your smartphone records a wealth of activity data that Zing’s cutting-edge algorithms can use to customize the perfect fitness experience for you. Syncing your Zing Coach with Apple Health allows the app to take into account all your physical activities when generating workouts for you, ensuring your workout plan is as effective as possible. By connecting to Apple Health, Zing can track your activities and workouts outside of the app, using this data to refine your recommendations and activity insights. Rest assured, your data is safe, secure, and used only to improve your experience.

#3 Explore the App Layout

When you first open Zing Coach, you’re probably in a hurry to start working out and making progress. Before you do that, you want to get a feel for what the app is like.   • Analytics Tab: Here’s where you’ll track your progress over time, view your fitness journal, and analyze your workout data to see how you’re improving.
  • Circles Tab: Working out is better with friends, and Circles is where you can add friends and check out their latest activities and achievements.
  • Coach Tab: Come here to chat with your personal AI Coach and get assistance with every aspect of your fitness journey.

#4 Say Hi to Zing, Your 24/7 Personal Trainer

The Coach Tab I just mentioned is one of the most valuable resources to have at the beginning of your Zing Coach journey. You Coach is always ready to share valuable insights into the Zing Coach app, your workout plan, and your health – both physical and mental. Based on your chats, your Coach suggests personalized adjustments to your training plans, and it’s a constant source of motivation and support for you, now and as you progress in your training. 

Working out isn’t just a physical exercise – it’s important to improve your health and fitness knowledge, too, so you can become an expert on your body. Ask your Coach any questions you might have about how to improve your performance and technique.
